The creation of Liberty Art Gallery's showrooms in the historical center of Saint-Petersburg on on December, 15th, 2005 was initiated by private collectors who were simultaneously constant participants of the Russian Antique Salons in Moscow (the Central House of Artists at the Krymsky Val street).

For the first one and a half years of the gallery's work in the project "Born in the USSR", seven exhibitions of talented soviet artists have been prepared and displayed.

Within the project "Liberty Art" from February to March 2006, both in the art gallery on Pestelya street and in the halls of  the Saint-Petersburg Bank on Ostrovsky Square, there was a personal exhibition of the contemporary Georgian artist Zazy Kharabadze " In mixture of paints... ".

For the 250 anniversary of the Russian Academy of Arts during May, 2007, a large-scale exhibition project was carried out by the curators of Liberty Art Gallery together with critics of the Exhibition Hall of the Union of Russian artists. The exposition "The Greater Volga - on the Coast of Neva" drew the attention not only of visitors and city dwellers, but also of art experts.

Since then Liberty Art Gallery has gained great popularity in the art circles of St. Petersburg as the organizer of high quality expositions.
